make sure you delete all photos and information from your profile first. and then uncheck all the boxes in the mail settings area, otherwise you'll be getting mailings from mingle.

sassyhoney, you'll also want to deactivate your account here:
http://mingle2.com/user/show_settings ARTYCHOKEUK and sassyhoney, you may both also want to uncheck the boxes on the following page before deactivating. http://mingle2.com/inbox/mail_settings Good luck, guys. |

Charles,
Deactivation is not he same as unsubscribing or deleting a profile is it now? If you simply deactivate then you can come back at anytime and reactivate your profile correct? Where if you were to actually delete the profile you would be deleting their personal information and images entirely. To delete the profile would be to remove all instances of their information from your servers and databases. That action would stop mingle2 from being able to sell or distribute that information to advertisers in the future. It seems to me that most of the internet sites seem to data mine that type of information to sell it to advertisers. Maybe Mingle2 does not do that I could not say. However, I have never seen a way to entirely delete a profile on here. |

It is not the same as deleting an account, of course not. We've been on the wrong side of spam often enough to not want to contribute to it, though. We are never going to sell our customers' information, but we can understand why the skeptical might think so.

Should follow what Facebook had to do here in Canada where it is illegal to keep any information about them (emails address, nickname ect) after a person deletes or wants to leave a community site.
Still do not understand why it is still not possible to delete all about me here if I wanted to leave. It is possible elsewhere why isn't it here. |

You would go here to deactivate your profile: http://mingle2.com/user/show_settings You may want to go here first, to stop emails: http://mingle2.com/inbox/mail_settings And to: http://mingle2.com/user/edit_photos to remove your photos (optional..you may want to leave them in case you return :-) From mobile devices: http://m.mingle2.com/prefer_mainsite http://m.mingle2.com/inbox/mail_settings http://m.mingle2.com/users/edit_photos |
