I have been to two male massage therapists. One was very professional. The other wasn't so I think I will stick to females in the future!

I am a CMT specializing in sports injury. Coupled with my personal workouts, client workouts, and a specific need for strong, aggressive modalities, I usually see male masseurs. I've been pleasantly surprised by some women techs and disappointed by some mushy-handed men though.
If you plan to study massage, focus on your specialty, be consistent, and take the career seriously; your clientele will find you! Word of mouth is a wonderful thing. |

I had a cervical fusion done on my C4/C5/C6
(cut out the discs and grafted bone slices to fuse the vertabrae in my neck for laypeople) I go to therapy every other year or so. The best results I get are from a masseuse that can make me yell. So it usually requires a mans strength |
