If any that are coming need any additional details or directions please
ask. Extra things to bring should include:
Shoes that you can wear in the water.
Camping gear
Bathing suits
Day pack
flash light
Covered dish or drinks or money for food
Joke books etc. for around the camp fire.
Cameras
Mostly casual shorts and shirts for clothes.
Long pants in case of cool weather/evenings
bug repellant(camp should not be bad but for hiking etc.)

People getting plane tickets should be getting them now to avoid extra
charges.Roanoke airport would be the closest.They have car rentals
etc.Plane flight to Greensboro or Raleigh NC would be cheaper but the
drive here would be longer.About 1 1/2 hours. Make sure you have google
map diections to get here. If you need directions e-mail me.

I just saw this thread - didn't read the whole thing - when is this
happening? Did I miss it? Is it too late to sign up? Thanks!

Hi campers!!
Just sending a general reminder on here about the Camp-out next week.
June 22, 23, 24 will be the date. You can get here any time in the
morning around 9 or 10 AM. I will have Eggs and Bacon for the ones who
would like to fix breakfast. The first day will be spent mostly around
the camp and docks just getting to know each other and maybe swimming or
just setting up tents etc. Some may want to fish or hike a little. I
will have lots of floats in the water for floating and playing in the
water.
Day 2 will be spent on and off the pontoon boat touring the lake and
visiting the many spots on the lake that are fun to see. Swimming tubing
eating at the Pizza Pub or Moosies and miniature golf is all available.
At night there is an option to go dancing at the live band which is at
Mangos. The Clue will be playing R&B and Top 40 music.
Day 3 will be spent back at the docks and camp where we will be taking
rides on the Seadoo, tubing ,waterskiing, fishing and generally just
playing and having fun in and out of the lake. The camp is only a short
walk from the lake. There will be Chicken and hamburgers done on the
grill for the meals. I am asking each camper to bring something to add
to the food table to keep us all fed for the 3 days. Please let me know
what you are bringing so we don't double-up on anything too much. Side
dishes will work, pastas,casseroles,desserts,snacks,your favorite recipe
of something. BYOB if you want alcohol. I may have some beer here but
other than that bring your own. I will have sodas and bottled water. I
have an extra frig for cooling things.
Don't forget an old pair of water shoes in case you want to walk along
the shore while getting wet too. Sandals with straps work well.
Other stuff you may need.flashlight/extra batteries,bed
roll,tent,repellant,hat,sunglasses,fishing gear,swim suits,tanning
lotion,clothes for fun and evening at Mangos,towels,Life jacket if you
prefer your own, Blow-up toys for the water,Blow-up mattresses to sleep
on if you have them.
Please let me know your statis! I need to know who is coming. This is
very important so that the food is going to be adequate!!Also the for
the boat rental. They will only hold so many people!!! RSVP Please.
