I can't even begin to answer that, hon. All I know is that I don't like
to be ALONE. I feel like I have "settled" my whole life with men that
for one reason or another could not satisfy me (and I DON'T mean sexual
either). I am beginning to think that it is selfish to want it ALL

I know what that's like, I went through a stage where I "settled" for
situations that were really no good for me, just because I didn't want
to be alone.

What I learned was, it's better to be alone than stuck with the wrong
person.

I think it's a kind of "grass is greener" thing -- when I was alone, I
would always be thinking of ways to find someone. Then when I was with
someone, I would spend 90% of my time trying to figure a graceful way
out of it!

Then I met the "right person" -- and eventually lost her. But that
experience really helped me differentiate between what I truly need in a
partner, as opposed to what's convenient or temporarily distracting....
