I have the same thing with my eyes, and used to wear toric entended wear contacts. But, sadly, they stopped making them due to too many dumb a$$ people getting eye infections, and such. Now, they only have the daily wear for us folks with astigmatisms. tears

Guys that pass passes at girls that wear glasses are usually classless, and show us all that they're a$$es.

Four-Eyes RULE !!bigsmile

I don't know about the astigmatism, but I have worn contacts since I was 16 and I love them. My problem is now that I need reading glasses or bifocals. I wonder if they make contacts for that? Bifocal contacts? Not sure how that would work.

I have two pairs of prescription sunglasses. They cost me about 100 bucks each at america's best. Four eyes also has cheap deals. You might be able to go in with the frames you have, and hook them up with some 'script lenses. It's worth a shot.

As for bifocals I was told I could wear one strength contact in one eye, and a different strength in the other eye and it's just like bifocals. It has worked for me.

Really? I'll have to look into it. I don't mind reading glasses. I keep pairs all over so I always them when I need them. The only thing I won't do is wear them hanging around my neck. I'm NOT going there! laugh

I have a stigmatism in both eyes.I started wearing contacts about ten months ago.Love them.Wish I had done it before.
They do make them with bifocals, but not for people with stigmatisms. They also run about 700.00 get. So not many people do that.
And your right (S/B).Lots of cool shades out there.drinks

Oh, the woes of bad eyesight! sad

I'm blind as a bat, have horrid depth perception, extremely light sensitive, am night blind, AND have astigmatism in both eyes.

I've worn contacts for about 20 years now. I give my eyes a rest from them about once a month, and wear my glasses for a few days (which I hate wearing)! I'm definitely not one who looks "posh" in glasses...unfortunately.

If you don't want to go the route of contacts, you could certainly get the prescription glasses that easily turn into sunglasses when you go outside. I had a pair once...and LOVED them!

Hmmm...I did try the bifocal contacts last year (and they only cost me slightly more than the regular ones, even with my astigmatism), but I didn't like them at all. I felt very dizzy, which in turn made me feel sick to my tummy all the time. ohwell

I've gone for two consultations for the Lasik surgery...been told I'm a good candidate for it...but, I'm too chicken to have it done! noway Maybe some day.

Until then, I'll just stick with what works for me right now.

I have both contacts and specs, and also have astigmatism, high five! Ha ha.

I wear both, depends on what I'm doing, eg nights out mean contacts are so much easier.

The only thing is, as someone else said, they're only daily wear ones (I use Johnsons Acuvue toric ones) and they can be expensive (I paid £30 a month for 30 single lenses x 2)but if you're able to get them online they work out so much cheaper.

Hope that helps!

Also, guys in glasses = hoooot :D

Never could get contacts...they kept trying to stick that big machine into my eye and I kept thinking that all they needed to do was sneeze and there goes my eye...and I wouldn't be able to eat it...
