You're right, that is dark.

Even though it's a quality music score, it still gives ya' the heebie jeebies - like walkin' under a ladder or something.

Yeah, it succeeds as a work of art in that it hypnotizes and powerfully transports you somewhere else.

Similarly, I always thought that the sight of a thermonuclear explosion was incredibly beautiful - an aesthetic masterpiece of power and splendour.

For my dad's funeral we played "When I get to Where I am Going" by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton. It really was an appropriate song and went over quite well. The words do really fit a funeral.

I think I will tell my daughter I want the new Rascal Flatts song
"No More Goodbyes" -- I love that song and the video is awesome. She already knows where to spread my ashes.

Well red, you aren't the only really dark one then babe. I always thought that song was so amazing. I auctually re wrote it to bring it to more of a "today" song. Kinda what JerryC and FunTwo did with Canon Rock, but with the Funeral March. Only I did try my hardest to keep it just as dark as the origional.

After hearing this song for the first time, a friend asked me what I thought it was about. Elton John did such a great job conveying the mood and imagery of the song I practically guessed the title off the top of my head.

Nope, I hate it, sounds like Chopin trying to learn to play.

When i leave this world..this one will do just fine.

Yes! Only I would like Joan Baez to do it at mine.
