offtopic sort of. Some people should not have access to The Internet and Art. There is enough mindless drivel for the masses. Let those of us who can comprehend great Art enjoy it. The rest of you can watch wacky videos on YouTube. be seeing you

Art is in the eye of the beholder.. some of us just don't see violence as art.

Violence in film is an interesting topic of debate. I have no use for todays modern horror films. The're garbage. They have no Social or Artistic value. Violence for shock value. However,in films like 'Public Enemies' and 'Inglorius Basterds',the violence is used to make a point. The violence IS raised to a level of Art. be seeing you

What a great movie and it's #1 at the box office so maybe the masses are taking notice. Tarantino seems to have a real love it or hate it no middle ground when it comes to his movies. Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs---both excellent films imo---invoked similar types of opinions with people and critics alike.

HATED HATED HATED THIS MOVIE!!!

Brad Pitt is so overrated and annoying to me but he was actually my fave part of this movie...I thought he was pretty damn funny.

uhhhh...that nazi was on crack the whole time

their spy was a stupid u-know-what who got half of them killed...what an idiot she deserved to be choked out.

I liked that french girl who's family got massacred up until the part where she didn't shoot the guy in the head AND heart...and then what the heck? What was the point in going to sit by him...she deserved to be shot for that one.

Uh...yeah the Basterds were pretty Ill so I hate that most of them had to die.

And the guy's forehead @ the end of the movie when they were carving the nazi sign into it...wow his forehead was super deep because most people's skulls are right there but all he had was flesh.

Besides...the movie was grossssssss

Thanks for showing me the movie--now i don't have to see it!---Who's brad Pitt ??

I saw it yesterday..although I don't feel it was his best work I really enjoyed the movie...

I could see how someone might say that it has too much story or subtitles but in my opinion it just added character to the well placed comic relief points... As for the action and mahem it was right on cue with his other work...

I wouldn't think this will be for everyone like mentioned but I give it two thumbs up and plan to see it again...

I saw this last night.

Honestly there were slow bits in it but they were pretty interesting. He's got this thing about having the craziest dialogue in all his movies. Even when they're just talking it's interesting.

I thought the Bear Jew was wicked. Totally messed up, but really cool. And anyone who knows me, knows I love explosions. And that movie had one of the best I've seen in forever.

Brad Pitt was alright, the accent and the attitude were mostly hilarious.

how is it that you can say she was off topic and tell her off in a post but someone posts about spaceballs which has nothin to do with this movie in any way shape or form and you totally encourage it?

geez.

grumble

i may not have agreed with what she said but it was completely on topic. just because she didn't agree with you doesn't give you the right to attack her.

Frigging hilarious! I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought the time went pretty quickly considering how long it ended up being.

jesus christ, are we a little pretentious or what? The movie was okay, but it was a whole lot of Tarantino sucking his own dick for being so artsy, if you ask me. After Jackie Brown, that guy fell waaay too in love with his own legend. Kill Bill 1 and 2 were both utter crap, and as funny as Basterds was, there were too many inconsistencies that made it kinda suck (like when the Jew Hunter lets Shoshanna go. What the **** was that all about?) and the Basterds simply weren't in it enough. Too much of the movie was pulled from obscure *** film history that even my movie nerd *** didn't quite catch. Plus, the Hitler/Bormann/Goering/Goebbels being shot up was simply ridiculous and pretty stupid, if you ask me. I was pretty disappointed that I paid to see it, to tell the honest truth. Shoulda waited for a download of it. Worth seeing, but I'd way rather watch Pulp Fiction another couple dozen times. Now THAT is a damn movie.
