Of course this happens all the time and I've been on both sides. Sometimes people think they love you or want to love you but they don't. And you can usually tell from their actions, although some do go through the motions and make a tremendous effort hoping that they will eventually 'feel' it.
Honesty goes a long way in mitigating any 'surprises', but it doesn't change the fact that sometimes the person you want to be in love with you just doesn't ever fall in love with you, even if they truly would like to. |

just went through twelve years of it.......man she was good! covered well too! four-hundred thousand later, to put toward another man....richer and beautiful, not hidious like me.... didn't love me at all, doubt she ever did. i saved her life four times.....i guess she felt obligated...... monsters like me should just learn to stay in their dark corners and observe others, period. never interfere.
