nope. not in this case. the song is la pequena aranita...which unfortunately i was singing in my head and not loud enough for my keyboard to magically produce...but it is reversed for the flow of music and lyrics...if i was still taking a class then yes...of course i found that when all else fails out in the world that i can speak in the present tense and like a child and while i may sound like an idiot people understand me and some levels of communication are still achieved...oh and i also didnt put my tilde marks in profesor. lo siento.

true. but youd also realize that in slang and in reading/writing there are plenty of exceptions to the rules...especially in translations. ive spent a lot of time immersed in different hispanic cultures and it was a song i learned and quoted. i didnt write the song. the woman i lived with in guatemala did with my help. and in fact it is just a translation of our english version and is very liberal with both grammar and syntax. we also wrote a very "incorrect" song about a little mother duck her children would laugh at. get over yourself

Yes, I am aware. I have taken four years of Spanish. And I realize rules are flexible, but you can't break them or manipulate them if you don't know what they are. You seem to. Many don't. How would I know without asking--WHICH I DID?

I fostered one for animal shelter, it was cute but I was the only one who would interact with it. As a prank I took one of its moltings(is that word?) and left it on the desk at the shelter office. It was mostly intact and looked like a real one and everyone freaked out when they saw it. Then they freaked out when they saw me because I had the living one on my shoulder.
