I'm with Dragoness on this. It should say "In Gods We Trust" with Mjolnir in the middle!

No we should not take it off, and if this is bothering someone, with all the big issues going on right now, then so help that group of anal people, we need to take care of healthcare, troops in Iraq, and the national deficit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's part of the problem with this country, God is out of everything...!!!!!!!!! Honestly, God will be the end of this country. Religion has already segregated the population, it is already affecting political measures and what our government is doing it is doing in light of religion. Personally, I think religion needs to get off its high horse and realize that just because God said it was the law does not mean the masses need God's law. Religion is created by people and people are the problem. Not God!!! People do some amazingly stupid things in the name of God, so God would indeed be the root...people are just the stem.

Should we burn all historical paintings created by the great masters of art because some of the painting have Jesus Christ in them. Hmmmmm.......no way well i doubt they'll burn all of the money that still says 'In God We Trust' I don't know. Wouldn't surprise me to see them waste a lot of money switching out. Considering bills generally wear out in 18 months if we would switch out dollar bills for coins we could save a lot of printing costs.

Keep religion at home like the forefathers wanted it and out of the public realm and there will be no problems. Communists are not allowed to practice religion at home, church, functions, family gatherings, etc... Noone here wants that.

We dont have pound notes actually in the UK anymore. I am surprised the US hasnt phased out the dollar bill yet. A dollar is worth a silly piddly amount of money really, it shouldnt be a note, it should be a coin. I know thats not the point of the thread though.
