So they’ve discovered a new planet and named it Gliese 581c. This thing
is 20.5 light years from earth, in it’s own solar system with it’s own
star.
Now I started thinking about - 20 light years - and what if 5 years ago
this planet’s sun imploded, exploded and wiped out everything around it.

We are still seeing a sun and a planet for the next 15 years, But, there
is no source of existence behind it. We think we see something real, but
it is nothing more than a vapor trail through space.

I sometimes like to tell people they can't see where the sun is right
now. They look up in the sky and point and say, "There it is!" and I
will say, "No, it takes light from the sun 8 minutes to reach the earth.
What you're seeing is where the sun was 8 minutes ago."

If that's too difficult for them, I tell them about the force field
around the Sears Tower that makes it impossible for anyone to jump off
the top of the building.

Could it be that everyone on here is nothing more than a vapor trail,
looking to mix particles with another vapor trail?
How elusive....
