I think this is a GREAT OP. The opening post itself and the many
thoughtful follow up posts are good for many of us to read, and think
about.

He didn't name anyone, and it was not a personal attack. We do -not-
need to take this from the general to the particular - doing so may
violate people's privacy, and turn this -into- something more personal.

Speaking to the original post, UK you may 'feel wronged' by what has
happened, and you might be tempted to think she was 'just playing head
games', but I suspect she was, like everyone else, working through her
own issues in her own way.

I think the phrase "head games" is a terrible one, because it implies
malicious intent. People, including you and I, do things to protect
ourselves from being hurt, and the other party may perceives that as 'a
game' - it does not mean we are deliberately messing with other peoples
heads.

It has caused enough pain and anger on too many sides as it is.
