Topic: Burn This City (Memphis,TN) | |
---|---|
Memphis Tennessee full of bottom feeders
Not talking fish but our city leaders Like a corrupt Robin Hood going door to door robbing from the rich, stealing from the poor Kids killing kids, and babies bearing arms Heroes are the gangsters with the biggest charms Shoot it down, lay it to waste, burn this city Let it die, never rebuild, burn this city Afraid to walk down the street, with people smoking crack Always on the lookout for the gun into your back Once a nice city, now so full of hate On a scale of 1-10 minus 666 is where we rate Constant fear of walking out your door Every morning on the news the death tolls more and more Shoot it down, lay it to waste, burn this city Let it die, never rebuild, burn this city |

There must be some nice parts yes? People who don't live here will say yes but no there is not, one of the lowest rated school systems, one of the highest crime rates, one of the highest murder rates, rediculously corrupt politicians. Not to mention any of the "attractions" that we had have all been removed... |

I liked it, thanks for posting it. I can hear the rap, but it's poetry--not just because it rhymes.

I like punk cause it's generally a little more frenetic, and anti-establishment, which makes you work at the lyrics more. Rap started that way, and still is pretty much in Europe. I didn't know anyone still wrote punk. Keep up the bad work! Flat |
