Actually, the earth facing direction at midnight and 4am is the exact same for all time zones... Lets say you are in new your city, and it's midnight, thus New yourk city is facing exactly opposite the sun, thus the best viewing, and best debri penitration, same goes for Seattle, at midnight it's in the same position that new york was at midnight... get it? That's funny that u should say New York and Seattle,I live in New York and My Mother and sister live in Seattle.
