I know for a fact they left retroreflectors on the surface. a retroreflector is a mirror (usually a cube corner) that reflects light back in exactly the same direction from whence it came and I have a friend who worked at the University of Texas McDonald Observatory. His project was firing a high power argon ion laser at the moon, hitting the retroreflecotrs and timing the time of flight to measure the exact distance to the moon. (LIDAR) without those retroreflectors the laser pulse would have never returned to the observatory |

(LIDAR) without those retroreflectors the laser pulse would have never returned to the observatory they landed in chaco canyon..nothing there for miles not even weeds grow there..and those lazers bounced off of passing satellite solar panels..   but in all reality i do believe that man did make it to the moon..and it had to be rich men too who else would just leave their keys in their can and go home the soviets or chinese could borrow that car without asking ..
