Hummmm it would make me wonder why all the expensive stuff first then down to a gold band why not the opposite?
Normally if they shower you with gifts they are only trying to buy your love and in reality they don't even have the money then they have to come clean at the end. To me they most likely were only living a lie to begin with soooooooooooo no I would not marry them. Now if they were honest enough and won your love the way it should be for material things are just that. I would rather be with one that I thought was poor but honest and loves one truly then to be with one that tries to buy love.  And then you found out they were rich later but if not then it would not matter.

I use the opposite approach....
Shower them with gifts of Ramen noodles, Dollar General perfume, and maybe a bag of generic cat litter. If they still put out, I know they ain't interested in my fortune. |
