Sandman, you should be able to google and find a group close to you. Sometimes it helps having people to interact and learn from, just starting out.

I would have thought that at over 40,000 years old, the Aboriginals on the Great South Land would have the oldest continuous religious culture. The land (environment), and law, and religion are intrinsically tied together, caring for the land that supports them.
They never trashed their country and moved in on someone elses land.
They didn't have religious killings like many other types of "worshippers" did.

Makes more sense to me than mythical beings, and invisible friends.

Most "religions" have valid moral codes to follow for a stable society. Time tests them all, and christianity is a failure so far.
A read of Herotodus The Histories, will show several ancient religions described.

In everything you do, just ask: "Is this love for the greater good of the planet ?"

I am a follower of odinism and belong to the Northwood kindred in Minnesota... I moved here to Colorado a few years ago and have been looking for my fellow kinsmen and kinswomen down here. I miss celebrating bloats with my kindred. I miss preparing Meade for the bloats... I do still celebrate but it's much lonlier by myself. I dont think odinism is the oldest but I do think other religions certainly got some of there ideaology from Norse paganism. I'm also very much into the runes....
