People tell me my hair is not age appropriate, whatever the F that means... and I should cut it short. What do you think? NO! Look at mine.. I am almost 46 in a few days... My hair is gorgeous black and healthy ....I love it! I would not listen to people. Do what you think makes you happy. If I were to tell you, DO NOT CUT YOUR HAIR. It is pretty and it goes with your appearance. |

I love my long hair and if you like yours that's all that matters. I get the whole "age appropriate" thing all the time. Screw them, I do what I like and what makes me happy and so should you.
Tell them with age comes the wisdom to be true to yourself.

People tell me my hair is not age appropriate, whatever the F that means... and I should cut it short. What do you think? I cut my hair and it was long i tell you, long down to my hips. Well lets say i have never been able to get it back there ever again. If it was me i can tell you this, I regretted it and even after 15teen years later I still regret it.. as i said, it never grew back to my hips ever again. now the gray is coming at 47 and thinning.. not sure i like this part, I guess the hair falls out and then the gray starts.. ?? or maybe it was all the dieing it to look beautiful>>LOL true.. either way... Don't listen to anyone, YOUR hair is just fine and believe me after cutting my hair 3 times since i was a small child.. ITS NOT WORTH IT... it takes so long to grow and the older you get the harder it takes to grow back. I am on OOOO 15teen yrs.. and still it is only to the middle of my back and i did trim it? so it must just be age.. LOL.. Keep the long hair.. and tell them they are all jealous!.. they just want you to quit looking so knock out beautiful.. that is what i found out later....... they wanted me to stop looking beautiful so they could get a few people... and well it did not work..LOL.. point made... beauty is regardless.... |

How does one's hair style make them age appropriate?
So being bald, made me newborn? Long hair gave me a chronological age of 12? Short hair had my age at 68? Dreadlocks put me at around the 25 mark? What about mohawks? What would I be, a ball park age of defiant 17? And a mullet? Hilarious!

I personally love long hair on a woman so I would say keep them as they are you look gorgeous, but it is not my hair and only you have a say on how they should be. I'm sure that anyway you keep them you will still look gorgeous. |

Keep it long if it is what you like. Women in their 40s and beyond can have long hair and look great...look at some of the celebs.
