Gee, and I thought you all had forgotten about us...or didn't want to
hear!

I was late enough getting up to the Airport that Paul thought I'd stood
him up...but on time enough to find him outside terminal smoking. He
said he was just getting ready to call to see if I was coming! I feel
bad about that, but between the logging trucks, the blue-haired little
old ladies and the school buses, it couldn't be helped.

He couldn't see in my truck for the glare on the windshield, but when I
pointed my truck at him and crooked my finger (C'mere, YOU!), he came to
attention with such a look of surprise! I ran to him, and the hug
lasted until we became aware that I was blocking traffic with my truck ~
LOL! Great one hour ride home where he could see lush, green farmland,
little "burgs", and finally my town. He liked the house, the dogs, and
me.

We played "Tourist" and "Tour Guide", taking in the Airborne and Special
Operations Museum, a Custom Car show with a band (where we came across
some of my friends in a local motorcycle club and I introduced him).
Now the local guys (who always wonder why I'm single) want to know who
this "IMPORT" guy is. Testosterone, I'll tell ya...

We went to a movie, ("Open Season" ~ his choice!), and ate our way
through the town. We walked, talked, laughed and smiled the entire
time...except when we (EDITED BY author). He would have ridden along
with me on the volunteer transport of 2 Great Danes from one shelter in
South Carolina to a shelter in New Jersey, except that it was cancelled
at the last moment due to lack of 2 volunteer drivers to commit to the
trip.

Yes, I cried when I took him back to the airport. Yes, he called when
he got home and has called a few times since. The sanity that rules the
final decision is this...'ONE DAY AT A TIME".

I can only say that we made friends online and on the phone, and that
will continue no matter where the rest ends up.

That is so cool. I thought about you having to take him back. I almost
