~always the same~

I have had the same recurring dream-slash-nightmare.

Since I was ten years old.

Whenever I have a fever.

It's always the same.

There's a long.straight,narrow road in the water.

Water as far as the eye can see,blue,blue water.

No land.

Nothing.

Just that dirt road on the water.

And

I am on that road.

Alone.

And I must not fall into the water.

I don't know why I must not fall in the water but the fear of it keeps me on the road.

And when I wake up I know I have not fallen in the water.

Always the same.
