Waking Ned Devine (British comedy)
In The Sticks (French comedy)
Life is Beautiful (Italian masterpiece)
Shirley Valentine (British comedy)
Delicatessen (Dark Comedy - cult classic from France)
Water (gut wrenching drama - Canada/India)
The Apartment (brilliant film from 1960 - Jack Lemmon/Shirley MacLain)

The Hangover - for a movie I assumed would be stupid ... it is absolutely hilarious!!!

Oh you!

I now have to definitely see 4 more films!

Sticks, Delicatesssen, Hangover and Star Trek!!

Of course I liked Ned, Valentine, & Apt. laugh

Never saw Life is Beautiful or Water but they sound a
bit emotionally demanding for me a this time...

but I really wanted to see Hangover and the new Star Trek
and have been too busy this summer to get to them.

frustrated

For french movies though, 4 on my short short list are
Les Ripoux (My New Partner), La Cage aux Folles,
Le Cadeau (The Gift), and L'Associe (The Associate)....
Diva...

Anyone who hasn't seen these will be in for a great
treat....

laugh

Delicatessen (Dark Comedy - cult classic from France)

I got to see Delicatessen on the big screen back in the 90's at Cinema 21(Portland, OR). Also from Jean-Pierre Jeunet- City of Lost Children. Hard to believe this same director also directed Alien 4.
