okay so i found this lizard living in my bathroom im pretty sure hes a gecko but not 100 hundred percent anybody else know im gonna keep him i call him Henry

Okay, how to identify a gecko, part one.

Usually wild ones in the US don't get bigger than 2-3 inches, so if it's bigger, prolly not a gecko.

Mediteranian gecko's (the most common breed that lives in the wild in the southern states) have translucent skin, almost like see-thru plastic.

Head looks like a viper head. Triangular but harmless.

If it has one of those throat thingys (the red thing that flashes when it sits on a tree and tries to find a mate) then it's not a gecko.

Gecko's usually sleep during the day.
