I feel like I want to vomit.

Why is that?

Because the hollywood version of romance is so pink fluffy cloudlike, it creates false expectations within people.

The amount of disillusionment people have towards relationships, romance and love is often based in the romance propaganda of things like Mills and Boon, and Hollywood garbage.

It encourages false expectations.

And you never seen a movie which was realistically portrayed love and romance?

The Notebook was a beautiful journey.... but it is a rare and unusual story....and edited and rewritten to within an inch of it's story life, so to be more marketable.

i prefer movies that scare the hell out of me

agreed but a lot of these wanna be horror movies are more like comedies to me. its a dying art form

Your so right, man Chucky is just chessy, I mean its a friggin doll, kick his butt through a window and smash his head into a telephone pole, strap him into a high chair and plaster his face with makeup and put a pretty little bow in his hair or something. but don't run from a doll with a knife.
I dont know, I'd probably run too and scream like a 5 o'clock whistle.sad

Ok NM.

Well, I didn't say how I feel.

I "take notes" and getting ideas, although I do feel jealous why I am not doing it to someone (if it's a sex scene)bigsmile

How often do we watch a romantic movie and at the end sigh, and say ' I want that'....

The thing is most are not prepared to do the work for 'that'...they want it vacuum sealed, overnight delivered, wihout having to pay for it.

that's why I don't like romantic movies.

Depends on the flick....

Most I can put up with but I often end up with women who do enjoy the occasional chick flick...and it is one of the sacrifices we make for those we love.

The one that got me..."What Dreams May Come"...Tragic, sad, inspiring and leaves you with hope.....everyone of my friends who have seen it tell me.."If that happens to you when you die....I wanna go to your heaven"...it has alot to do with art...

Well , sometimes i do get sad, when a movies plays one of OUR songs, or if a see someone heartbroke or missing the one they love.
The movie "Lake House" with sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves, did that to me. Then I take the DVD out and use it to level my end table or use it for a frisbee. bigsmile

romantic comedies, I just sit back and enjoy. You know they're not real life, but hey...I believe most people wonder why that can't happen to them.

If it is well done romance, not all sap and sex, it reminds of what I had and want back. So I guess I'd have to say sad and motivated to keep working to find it again.
