Topic: The hot item to fight for at the store! | |
---|---|
In Seattle the weather is throwin us some triple digit temps for the first time and people are freaking out. I was at Costco tonight and I actually saw people fighting over fans and air conditioners. Reminded me of the Tickle me Elmo Christmas rampage all over again. I got a kick out of it and thought I'd share. I did get my shopping done safely and am now out back with my laptop and a cold glass of water. Whats the craziest thing anybody else has seen while shopping?

A scene that played out kinda like a movie women fighting over shoes and screaming over who saw the pair first..I had to bite my tongue from keeling over laughing |

Depends what the news tells people to do. There was the scare back in 2000 when the computers were going to fail and power was going to go off (I knew this wasn't going to happen as I worked on computers back then)... |

Just a note....
I grew up in Auburn, Wa. (just south of kent) I now live in vegas, it was 110F today and expected to get hotter. I moved from the pacific northwest because of the weather... My point is... it's a one time thing... next year you'll be playing golf in the high 70's nuff said. |

I can't say I've seen anything real crazy per se, but I find it kinda sad people fight over stuff like this, it's so silly to me. Not making light of the heat situation mind you, but speaking more in general.

I was in Tennessee at the time and my g/f's mom was one of those fruitcakes that was convinced the world was gonna grind to a halt. I had a lot of fun when it was over. I told her I kept expecting to walk into her house and see her on the couch petting her shotgun....lol |

I stood for 10 and a 1/2 hours in freezing rain to get my step-daughter a Cabbage Patch Doll when they were all the rage. I am sure if someone tried to fight me for that I would have had to hurt them.
