It was a rough cold wet week. And a lot of people got injured and killed.

Dear diary, I am having that rare feeling of high resillance in dealing with things out of my control, as in, ive made my work, and i am having patience and confidence that my example and actions have inspired me to have someone be close to me, after ive given them plenty of room to think..
People bounce back, they are like rubber bands, but if forced.. they go the whollleee distance away, never to return. |

Good morning diary. Wow! Monday already. I'm still at sturgis. Its 49 degrees. Slept well inside the heated RV last night. Slight breeze out of the south. Gotta keep an eye on the sky all the way home. Going from 49 degrees and cold and dry to 95 degrees and hot and humid at my house. Lots to do today before I point my bike in that direction.

Yeah diary I sit here enjoying my millstone coffee with superior english toffee capaccino looking around at my chores. All the cookware needs to be washed. The grilles need to be emptied into the firepit and washed. Tent dropped. Bags packed and mounted. Coolers emptied. Yesterday I tried to drink all the leftover beer and wine coolers- but hey I can only drink so much!!! I think I drank 12 and it took allllllllllll day. Burp.

I'm still debating what to wear diary. I have to dress warm and in layers. And by the afternoon I will be shedding clothes to stay cool. And I'm still debating on bringing my tank bag home on the bike or mailing it home. I bring a lot of stuff with me on the way out and it gets used and my bags are a lot lighter on the way home. I may not need the tank bag and may mail it home with the freebies. We didn't get one free T shirt this year. But I still got around 40 pounds of freebies. Gypsy got around 25 pounds of freebies. We will mail them out today.

I'm moving now. Got all my crap spread out across 2 picnic tables sorting stuff out. What goes with me? And what gets mailed home.

Airing out my bags and sleeping bags. Deflating air mattresses. Conspicuous space. That's the key.

Its 8 o'clock here. About 4 hours to launch. And its warming up nicely.

Some things were highly amusing diary. One was the fact that me- "Mr Prepared"- forgot a few things. #1- my buck knife. You need one out here. I intentionally forgot it because I intended to buy a new one out here at buffalo bobs and never did because he wasn't around. So I scrounged for knives all 10 days. Dumb.
