I think "dorm kids" (be it an actual dorm, a shared apartment, etc.) learn as much about life from their roommate experiences as they do in the classroom.

Moving out in a few days? Look! See that tunnel? See the light at the end of it?! Think of the bliss you'll feel when you're out of this situation.

Me...I just came home from a few days of crawling all over/around/through beloved family members...came home to find my brother had made himself at home in my house...and trust me...I don't want my home to look like his...taking away his key...sitting here enjoying the quiet, clean calm which is interrupted only by the demands of a tabby and a Pomeranian on occasion.

At this point in my life if I had a roommate, well, it wouldn't last for long as I'd be in a nice solitary cell pretty quickly, having committed murder.

i hate roommating with anyone. seriously. i love my privacy and my peace and my own place. i miss it.

i've had roomates who were pigs, nazi's, jackasses, and my favorite, the gay ex child molester who never told me he was on parole for life because of this craziness in which i found out when i came across his county court letter.

i moved within the month.

you never know what kind of person someone is until you move in with them.

Hell, you don't even really know your friends either. One ex-roommate was a friend of mine since HS and he became a BAD Tweaker.

One of my previous roommates was very messy and unorganized. Another ex-roommate was the complete opposite. She was a neat freak. She wanted everything to be done exactly a certain way Both people were annoying at times.

Roommates are always harder to handle then lovers, we do not accept the same things from each.

As for your AC to play the devil advocate each person has a different metabolism and what to you is freaking hot might be just nice to her.

If she was at least decent she would turn the AC down a little bit for her while still thinking about you but it seems that thinking of others is not a thing these days.

My ex was the roomate from hell !!!!!

well it's 110F here in Vegas right now... If I had a roomate that shut off the AC I'd kick her but out to sleep on the porch at night if she needs it hot.

If adjusting the thermostat is the worst thing your roommate does, consider yourself lucky. I would not hate my roommate for that reason alone. I've made roommates out of best friends, complete strangers, and even people I dislike. I hate them all the same by the end of the experience. No, not really. But my last roommate did turn himself into the one person on this planet I genuinely hate. I won't go into detail about all the **** he did throughout the time he was living with me, but when a roommate owes you well over $2000 and decides to rob you and leave the house while you're out shopping or in class and disappear before you get home, THAT makes for a bad roommate. But adjusting the thermostat is just a minor thing. I wish that was the worst thing my roommates ever did to me.
