Who on here has been 2 see the Space Shuttle and watch it take off?i myself would love 2 see it take off as i would think it would be a great experience

You are absolutely right!Also,the next-gen will probably be cleaner and less impressive.All of NASA's pipe dreams about returning to the moon or Mars and still no real constucting of the new platform to get there.

I was born & raised in Orlando, Fl. & my Dad worked for Martin Marrieta & NASA...shuttle lift-offs were commonplace for us...I was also present when the Challenger exploded...:cry:

While I am sure there has been some great technology generated by this whole sace station thing I still believe it is a colossal waste of money that could been better spent elsewhere.

Whoa, thats sucks.I was on the beach in Galveston in '69 during the moon landing.I was once a Houston resident.

i agree...mostly.The "experiments' conducted up there are suspicious and downright bizarre.

i was on vacation in florida 21 wks ago when the last one went up. we were at epcot and got to watch it take off, it was the coolest thing i have ever seen in real life.
i live in houston and NASA has always been huge here. but i have never seen the space shuttle take off from home.
