So... how does a woman turn down and otherwise not encourage flirting with a guy she's not interested in without hurting his feelings?
I know there's probably been threads like this, but I'm starting a new one so HA!

There's really no way to do that. You just have to be as nice as possible.

I wasn't talking about you, hon. Not about anyone in particular actually. I was talking about irl actually.
Lily... damn. I was hoping there was some trick. I HATE hurting feelings.
| | |
| you dont love me anymore? | |
| | |
|
pull the..."wow, i love you like a brother" line.....just sneak it into a conversation while laughing or something
make brother references...eventually he will understand that you ONLY see him as a brother type...let's him down easy and you move on BUUUUT...that is the longer approach....the short approach would entail hurting his feelings

That would work for a friend, but what about a stranger at a bar?
And 7z... NEVER! | |

A sharp stick in the eye maybe?

i dont think your hurting a guy by saying your not interested.
he may be dissapointed, but i dont belive he would be hurt

Just be truthful ie. sorry not interested
| | |
| That would work for a friend, but what about a stranger at a bar? And 7z... NEVER! tell him he reminds you of your ex.....guys hate that and will usually move on...we NEVER want to be THAT guy | |
