The ones I'm attracted to are never the "classic beauty" or "Playboy centerfold" types. I get all wrapped up in the quiet intellectual poetic types, with glasses and all that. It's not about matching up with some lame stereotype that doesn't even work anymore -- it's about being who you are and figuring maybe there's someone out there who sees past the vapidity of a sash and a tiara.... |

I've often said that, if all of the blatherings about "Looks don't matter," and "It's what's on the inside that counts," and "I just want someone who will treat me decently," etc., were in any way actually TRUE, we would be seeing a lot more people getting together than what we actually do. In my opinion, the reality is that these are people who are NOT here to find someone, or to be found by someone. Like Lou Reed said, "They think they're on TV." |
