~ To all the Ignorant Selfish Fools ~
~~~ The sun will shine forever in spite of your ignorant ways Thank god that god is really love and not the idols that you praise Your egos are so overblown your mindless thoughts are not your own your spirit’s lifeless like a stone your dreadful stench could use cologne Yes, you know just who you are deceiving swindlers so blizzard you blind yourselves with hateful tar and spread you loathing near and far You are the filth beneath our feet the scum all humanity preaching lies from blinded eyes with pathetic selfish vanity How sad your lives must be that you need such foolish crutches living in an empty world that ardor never touches You’re ugly choices haunt you you’re ignorance will taunt you and in the end you’ll have no friend for no loving soul will want you Yes, we know just who you are the spotlight’s on you like a star the bitter souls who act like fools and wear it like a scar ~~~ (Abra 5/20/07) |
No need to get offensive. I do not write anti-christian poetry. I am
Pagan and proud of it. |
Perhaps you need to think more broadly in terms of what an 'idol' can be? The poem is really aimed at hypocrites who preach one thing yet behave entirely differently. It’s not really suggestive of any particular religious beliefs. The poem was sparked by the fact that a really wonderful honest intelligent loving person has recently left the forums because of the presence of selfish egotistical hypocrites. Religious affiliation is really not important. Anyone can make an ‘idol’ out of any deity. Christianity is no exception. Hypocrisy is the only real criteria for ‘idol’ worship. Many people claim to be worshiping a ‘god’ when in reality they are worshiping their own egos. It’s a totally non-religious poem actually. It’s about egotistical hypocrites. Not about people of sincere faith. |
I just reread the poem and realized that the word ‘blizzard’ was
supposed to be the word ‘bizarre’! I hate typos in poems! Especially when they can’t be edited out. |
