What is love ? And how do we know when were really in love ?
I have a senario that will clear this up for you... This is sooooooooooooooooooooooo simple.... I built my present VW Trike in august of 2003, it's not fancy, or have a bunch of chrome on it, but I built it, and it's mine, and I love it ! Now pay attention... So I go for a ride, and come across one of those car/motorcycle shows where folks show off their stuff... with me so far ??? Oh boy, the time and money that people put into their rides is amazing. Some are way to nice to even drive ! lol OK, so as I walk thru the rows of beautiful cars and motorcycles, I am impressed, and I do appreciate the time and money it took to make em all so nice, but I just wiz thru and barely glance at all the cools machines, and thats because I don't really care about those custom rides, their nice, but they don't interest me because im attached to the machine that I put my blood, sweat, and tears into. My trike is part of me, and I love it. All the horsepower, chrome, fancy paint, etc... doesn't interest me in the least because I love my trike. I see lots of nice machines out there runnin around, but they never get more than a casual glance from me, because they don't interest me whatsoever, they're just there in my view, and look interesting, but thats it, im simply not interested... The same senario applies to relationships... If you find yourself looking at other people, and feel any attraction at all, then your not truely in love. I don't care how good they look, if you feel compelled to stare, and/or have any desire to touch, then your not IN Love with your mate, PERIOD. |

I think I saw this on an episode of Jerry Springer.

I disagree.
I look at all sorts of beautiful things & people. If a drop dead gorgeous person - male or female - walks by, chances are good that I'll stare. Not rudely, but in appreciation. Does that make me bi as well as a scoundrel? If a perfectly restored GTO Judge rolls by, I'm not only going to stare, I'm going to drool & picture myself fondling it's various bits. Momentary fantasy, and then I'm back into reality. Same applies for people, IMO. I'm quite open with any guy I date about my appreciation for beauty, regardless of the form it takes. I don't get upset if he checks out a gorgeous woman, and certainly don't see it as a betrayal. |

I truly don’t think love can be defined, its mechanics are different for everyone. But when you know how someone else defines their mechanics of love and you put forth an effort to respect their feelings, you are on your way to love.

Just because I look doesn't mean anything.I might love my guy,but I'm not dead.besides its just a slight glance.and that don't hurt noone.

I won't go so far as to say that taking a look or a second look at someone other then your SO is ok, but I will say we are only human, and we are not nor never will we be perfect beings. Just because we may look or have thoughts about another person who isn't our boyfriend or girlfriend, does not mean we don't love them, it just means we are human.

If you truely love your partner, then others won't interest you at all sexually. I think I understand why most of you are here now...

Love is like obscenity, difficult to define,
but I know it when I see it. |
