Perhaps it is just that thing called aura?

We are energy and that energy permeates around us. The luminous light body..
the aura. If you focus on the outline of a persons head you can see it.

But that is not this . . . . if you read the article it clearly states this is less then what is required for an eye to detect.

The optical illusion that is "aura's" is well understood.

I agree, and I should not have been so flip, I apologize.

I have often heard of auras and of people who can see them, but I have not heard the realists scientific explanation for them as an optical illusion.

Then again, everything we see could be an 'optical illusion' of some kind.

I am always amazed at the shows on the Discovery channel that tell about deep sea fish that give off lights.

Some would say it is all an illusion. It's just energy flickering in and out and not real and solid at all. Our humans eyes are just not able to see it...

I think as a human its obvious....if someone is happy, u FEEL their vibes.....i use that in my own life.....i try to be positive and happy in order to get thru the day and pass on on as many good vibes as i can.

I like the thought that it was infra-red...far less creepy than "Free-radical" light....free radicals are what make our molecules and cells age and die....

A light based on dying cells makes sense since it would involve cellular release of energy....light from a continuing slow decay and death...just not a happy thought from my perspective.

Screw it....I will go with the aura thing you guys are talking about...sounds happier.

Yes, free radicals cause damage to our body, but everybody always has a very small amount of them all the time anyway, as probably do all living things on this planet. Our body is constantly repairing itself, its only when we have too much damage from free radicals is there a problem. So if we are releasing minuscule quantities of light due to free radical interactions, it doesn't necessarily mean there is anything to worry about or anything truly undesirable happening.

And you are right that it is a 'continual slow decay' of a sort, but not necessarily of our body's total well being - remember the food we eat is our means to work 'against entropy' in our bodies.
