To regret something you did or regret something you failed to do/ never tried? Why?

Something you never did..... just those unanswered queations.... what if......?

Regret something you didn't do..
The past is the past, the wondering of what might have been is the regret. |

I already regret something i didnt do, but i tried, and atleast i went down trying to do something about it. Life happens, just do what you know is right and try your hardest at whatever you make an effort at.

My subject matter would be wide open for debate & too painful to discuss. With that being said I refuse to live the rest of my life regretting my decision. In retrospect the word paradox comes to mind always.

We all make decisions in life.
Regrets don't make them any easier. Regrets don't don't teach. Action does. |

We all make decisions in life. Regrets don't make them any easier. Regrets don't don't teach. Action does. I completely agree! The only problem is if you don't learn from your actions due to the hope of a different outcome. Then again that defines an insane person: Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result =oP |

Its better to try, and fail, than to never try.
Im a believer in embracing new experiences, they r wat mould us, if we shied away from them, our lives would be stalemate. |

Regret for the things we did, can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable. (Sidney J. Harris)
But on second thought......Fear not for the future, weep not for the past. (P.B.Shelley) |

I don't really regret things. But, it would be worse to want to do something, yet never try.

I think that regrets, like so much else in life, are relative. I regret not getting my recent painting job done in the time I had. But it will get done...I regret not going to medical school. Much more far reaching ramifications on my life.
Trying too...trying really trying to make time to work on my manuscript but failing miserably, at least I am (really really) trying. Trying to find a new job...it will happen when I need it too. So I guess I see things from a slightly different perceptive. I will try not to regret that! |

No regrets.
Those things I have not done yet... I strive for. Those things I wanted to do that are done... Are piling up one by one. |

Neither cause I ain't got no regrets in ma life. If we dwell on regrets then we miss out on enjoyin what we do have.

i just learn from my mistakes and don't bother with regret. but of your two choices, i'd rather regret something i did.

I have to go with something I haven't done... I learn from the things I did and can apologize for them but if I didn't do something that I should have or wanted to then my life may have been very different and I will never know how it would have turned out.
Great topic!!! |
