Did anyone catch that on Good Morning America this morning?

One version, which was on the TV. Supposedly a "large Native American dog" snatched his owners 3 week old preemie out of the crib and took off with the baby into the woods, where the parents found the baby an unknown amount of time later with busted ribs, puntured lung and skull punctures in the top of the head.

Baby is fine, dog is probably dead by now.

Now, the story was described in 2 very different ways, and the inconsistencies are strange.

I personally think there's some screwy suspiciousness going on, and the dog is taking the blame.

As is typical, the TV blows it up. For this dog, "large" is actually 60lbs. The English Mastiffs and Danes that I used to have must be gargatuan! What the heck is a "Native American dog"? Looks like a hybrid to me! And I know dogs are talented, but really, the dog is gonna close the bedroom door after he grabs the kid? It also made it sound like the bedroom had an outside back door off of it, and really, would you have your child in a room like that?! Especially without locking the door?!

Anyways, my rant.

News spreads fear, fear catches wind with one person and spreads to million more...the United States doesn't even have to fan the flames to get it to pick up and go anymore, plenty of people to do it for them.

Turn it off...

About like the one where the python stalked and ate a little baby right out of it's crib. Who in the world would have a snake around an infant? These things can eat that 60 pound dog..no problem. Why did they not have a locking lid on the snake if they were going to have it?

Yeh, that was insane too! Shakes head. And the one a long while back about the rats chewing on the babies fingers and toes. What's up with parents that they can seriously not pay attention to these kids. None of the babies where able to move around, so it's not like they could get themselves into trouble!

That's exactly the problem...these parents are not paying attention to these children...too busy with their own lives to worry about what happens to the babies once they lay them down in the crib.....they think that the crib is a safe haven for them and people are finding out different.

I used to take a nap or a shower when my baby was asleep in the crib for a nap. When the baby was asleep at night, you know that I was sleeping too. My baby woke up every 2 hours all night long, I slept when the baby slept.

Well I'm sure that you don't have snakes, rats or hybrid dogs that would hurt your baby either.

What happened was a freak of nature the baby was a preemie wrapped up in a blanket the dog mistakenly took it as a rag doll to play with or possible it was jealous.

I did watch the story this morning with the father talking does it sound a bit fishy well hell yeah in more ways then one to me. Only time will tell the real story.

Sure it is hard to believe such a loving dog of 4 years would pick a baby up at of a crib and be able to get it outside on its own.

But........hopefully if this is not what really happen the truth will eventually come out.

Since this took place in Kentucky, nobody will remember it by tomorrow, but here is what I know;

1. The dog is half wolf which is a popular breed around here lately

2. The dog is also at the Jessamine Humane Society and is up for adoption, so hes not dead. drinker
