....a nasty, snide boss?

Due to the recent economic fiasco (Thanks Obamanation), we had a hiring freeze and a particular person's job went away. Rather than letting things fall as they may be, she was appointed to be the head of our department (with no experience) and our director was stripped of his authority.

Since that time, this person has totally let the power go to her head and is THE most vile person to all of us that have been in the department for years, yet putting on the nines for anyone else within the company.

I refuse to let her get the best of me, but this person blows in and out of the office without speaking to any of us. When she does, it's like a Linda Blair moment as she spews so much nasty.

I have always been taught that you keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. I have been overly sweet when she is around and when other employees come to me with issues, I go out of my way to share laughs and create a pleasant experience because I know that it bugs her.

Any creative suggestions (other than praying that she gets hit by a bus) how to set her up for failure? drinker

I think I would be more pissed at Bush, he is the one who got us into this economical mess!! I also have a jerk for a boss, but with newpapers going down all the time I have to swallow it and try to focus on getting the job down and then forgetting it at the end of the day!!

Wellllllll, I got cussed by MY boss last week, so rather than stoop to his level and cuss right back (which I've been known to do, haha) I got my stuff, clocked out and left.

The said part was, HE was the assistant manager and the "manager" never called to get my side or to see why I walked out. So...... I
m job hunting.

Oh yeah, maybe he will get hit by a bus, HAHA!! Kidding!

I wish I could tell you that eventually she'll trip up and get herself gone, but it's not always true. Sometimes people like that seem to have the most absurd luck, getting away with that behavior time and time again.

How comfortable are you with the idea of going over her head and talking with her supervisor? Are they approachable? In essence, this woman is creating a hostile work environment for everyone involved. You have the right - by law - to complain and not have retaliation. Allowing it to continue would be a violation on the part of HER supervisor(s), and could open them up to serious issues down the road.

Obama hasn't been in office enough time to do damage like Bush did. Really if you want to blame someone, blame the federal reserve.

But im sorry your boss is a twit. Ever see the movie Office space/:thumbsup:

offtopic offtopic Sorry but...
Not that I am a fan of Bush but I believe that Clinton is more to blame for the economy at present. Due to the housing crisis and insisting that people be given home loans that perhaps didn't qualify which then created the housing crises. My personal opinion, the economy started with the housing crises and will end there too. JMO

Maybe the saying "give her enough rope she will hang herself" will apply.

Unfortunatly, she has her nose so far up the CEO's ***, it's hard to tell them apart rofl

The rest of us in the department are just trying to give her enough rope and hope for the best. I am a firm believer that what goes around, comes around....and I want to sell tickets for that event...LOL

If she has no experience in what she is doing, only time will tell when she makes a big error.

Humm do what I did at one time quit covering up their mistakes do your job to the T but what she is suppose to handle if you find something wrong with it sometimes it don't hurt to make sure the right ones notice it as well.

Ohhh and ya know they have those tape recorders that go on voice hehehe catch her in the act the way she talks to employees ect just maybe one of those CEO's might need to hear it as well.

Good luck main thing is wait her out and yes give her enough rope she will finally hang herself. But at times a little help don't hurt.whoa bigsmile
