First things first...Myspace is for kids/teens/pedophiles.
I obviously dig Mingle. Recently got rooked into a Facebook page and everybody and thier dog came out of the wood work. School friends, Minglers, military buddies, people from the Spore (game)site...(not quite sure how everyone recognizes me).....It won't change my life but it is cool to re-establish contact with some of them...especially now that we ain't kids and some of them are now career professionals who may accidentally have useful business contacts. Our work mandated Twitter the other day among management...so I actually had my Twitter profile created for me today to access on my Black Berry...I told them straight up....."I don't care if Shaq IS on that site....A bunch of dudes "tweeting" on Twitter sounds down right GAY!" |

Twitter isn't doing it for me. Most of my myspace friends are on facebook. Facebook is better right now tho as I am being found by my moms friends I have to partially monitor what I want to say. I popped off with "wanting a vacation and a guy" and moms girlhood friend (who is cool anyways) sent me a pic of a Scottish piper. Funny but made me think i'd better watch what's said.

I like face book because I can keep up with my family most of the time. As soon as my siblings hit 18 they were out of the house and out of the country and our bond was broken. I may never be on the same level as them, but its good that we still talk.
And yes, I'm the "runt", I didn't leave the house until I was 25

I've heard people saying that it is great that you can find individuals that you've not seen or heard from in decades. People have found me on facebook after not being in touch for 20 and in some cases 30+ years. Why? If we had been friends or gotten along so well 30 years ago I'd have stayed in touch, no? The main reason (there might be a handful of exceptions) I fell out of touch with these people is because we were not all that close and did not get along that great. So why is it so cool that they found me?  IMO Facebook is highly overrated. I was on facebook for about 2 months because my Daughter wanted me to. Now deleted.. WHAT A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND INTERNET SPACE!!!!!! Mingle baby... MINGLE!!!

Easy.. tell them you will only twitter till you see the first guy in drag..or till you start getting the urge to get a dye & perm job done

Huh. Apparently I'm one of the few who enjoys getting in touch with old friends. There have been two recently that I found on facebook that I was very happy to reconnect with. We were friends quite a while ago and just drifted apart at some point, which people do sometimes. Now we've been catching up and making plans to see each other again. Definitely not a bad thing. It has its pluses and minuses. On the plus side I keep in touch with family that, for whatever reason, I don't normally keep in touch with. However I'm forever bewildered by friend requests from people I hardly knew and was not friends with in high school. Eh, I don't mind it. But, as I said, I enjoy catching up with old friends. I don't use it to meet new people at all, though. I joined Facebook to help plan my 25th class reunion.....I personally find it great to reconnect with people I lost contact with over the years. Funny thing is I found my cousin who no one in my family has heard from in years LOL Also found a few minglers and a few have found me as well I do not use it to meet new people either |

Huh. Apparently I'm one of the few who enjoys getting in touch with old friends. There have been two recently that I found on facebook that I was very happy to reconnect with. I've been looking for one particular person for eons. His name is Scott, and we were best friends from kindergarden to 5th grade. Last time I saw him was 5th grade because we both moved away.

So... yeah.  I Do have a MySpace, but I did that because it made learning CSS WAY easier. Yeah, I'm a geek.

I am on facebook. It is a great way for me to connect with family that is in other states and now all of my friends that I have had since high school is on there and it is fun to keep track of day to day events. However, with some local family members on there, as well as coworkers keep me from being myself when I post - like here - don't feel like I can post freely.
I don't care for myspace. It messes with my computer. |
