Evening all! Betty, OMG....how is your daughter? Was the patient mental or on drugs/alcohol? Poor thing, sending a prayer up for her! I worked in a hospital years ago and got attacked by an old man....he was not in his own head tho, he normally did not act violent. Sorry Mary. I was right in the middle of answering you when my pc just shut down. My daughter looks like she is going to get a black eye and her face is swollen and she has bruises on her neck and wrists. she attarcked another nurse earlier.She should not be allowed to walk the hall...but you know how it all these human rights things .putting other people at risk. Yeah the same with Special Ed kids with IEP's......can't kick them out of school, they are protected....teachers aren't! I know. why do all these other people have to be put in danger just to protewct one?

In the nursing home my father was in...they had all the potential violent patients in a ward by them selves...it worked out well for all concerned. Yeah the same with Special Ed kids with IEP's......can't kick them out of school, they are protected....teachers aren't! Yes I did :) and you :) I see ornery was on :) He is gonna get you for that' My day was good until I found out one of the patients attacked my daughter.she punched my girl in the face and throat and chest and twisted her wrists. I wanted to go over there and knock her lights out! [/quote So why didn't you??? Should have! I think she could get arrested. No the administrator of the nursing home should not allow her there. She needs to be in a physc ward of the hospital . I don't know about there but allot of the physc wards are no more here. It is all about making the money.

I know. why do all these other people have to be put in danger just to protewct one? Well, I can only speak for myself. I CHOOSE to be in Special Ed the past 24 years. I choose to love these children unconditionally, just as I did the sick people in the hospital. I do not fear them....they are the ones who are afraid or they would not strike out. For the kids, for most, it is all they have known in their short little lives. Sometimes, I am the only safe adult they know and use me as a whipping post because they know that reguardless, I will love and protect them no matter how they act out. I try to teach them constructive ways to express their anger, but sometimes, when horrible things happen at home and they aren't allowed to express their feelings at home, they come into school in a foul mood. Many days I have went home in tears because of how they are treated, but the love these children give you when they finally learn to trust you is worth every single minute, good and bad.

This happened to her before when she was a student nurse.She was kicked in the face by a man. But it was a reaction to some drug he was given.When he realized what he did to her he started to cry ..poor thing.

right now I am just outside of chicago, then head to loiusville after i deliver tomorrow morning My dad, as well as all of my siblings were born in Chicago....I was born in Iowa, but lived in Chicago til I was 3. I still can remember the lake and the zoo from there.
