Topic: I Miss My Poosie!!! | |
---|---|
My poosie-cat, that is... After much internal conflict & consideration, I decided to find my kitty-cat "Metu" a new home... Several in the household are severely allergic, thus she had to remain outside in the Texas heat... Now she's in air conditioning, with free roam of the house...it doesn't hurt that her new caretakers are filthy rich... I know it was the best thing for her...but my heart is still a lil empty...
Have you ever had to sacrifice someone/something that you loved dearly for the betterment of their situation? |

I hear you and feel for you and yes I have been there and done that and it hurt like hell and still does 4 years later.
I had horses for 17 years since I don't live in the country I had to stable them it finally came to a time with raising 2 kids and being a single mom that I could not afford them any longer. It came to the point I had no choice but to sell them. The only thing that made it easier is that my boss bought them from me for he knew I did not want the 2 separated for they had been together for 17 years. At the time both horses were 24 years old at the time. Matter of fact he keep them for a year then a boys home had inquired about them for he knew one of the men that ran the home. When he told me about it I asked him if he was going to donate them he said he would not if I did not want him to. Told him to go ahead and donate them at least that way I would know that they had a good home and would be messed with every day and that is where they would be happy so to this day they are still there. Even though that was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do I do know they are in a good place and that is what helped me just knowing not only would they stay together but well taken care of as well. Since they were donated they are not allowed to sell them. |

My daughter's cat. He got in a fight and got his tail ripped open. I couldn't pay for the vet for a while, so we had to keep it clean ourselves, poor thing. When we finally got to take him to the vet, he jumped out of the box and ran away. It was a ritzy neighborhood, but I felt so bad when he ran off ... so scared that he would die in the cold (it was February), before someone took him in. When the people who found him called me, I asked them to keep him... they were in a MUCH better place than us financially.
I told my daughter we can't have another pet until we can care for it properly. |
