What the heck is going on, even in hip hop 'n R&B men are being portrayed as being on the 'soft' end of relationships (main stream radio hip hop 'n R&B)... WTF???

well, it seems to me that in media today men are portrayed as being in the 'weak' position in relationships.... being soft. Loosing the woman, women dumping the guy, there's a new hip hop R&B song about trading roles and the woman initiating and being "on top", another one about 'how can you be so cold' about the woman dumping the guy... ect... it's a big change from the old R&B days where hip hop were portraying women in submissive... just seems a swing in mainstream to put men in the "weaker position" for some reason... sorry if this seems rambling i am not a writer, so getting what I feel to translate to words is difficult LOL...
