Holy crap Fanta, my sad cartoon bubble has you snatching a sucker from a
baby while kicking the stroller and baby over a cliff while maniacally
laughing and screaming "the baby was evil"! Gotta lighten up man, you
are starting to believe your own rhetoric. Is everything black or white
with you? We like having you around so relax a little before you have a
stroke and end up on the floor doing the crappie flop.happy

Fanta, I do acknowledge your right to your opinion, as I have
stated......... why do you not honor mine?

So what are the solutions...and all the angles.

Too easy to say pull the troops...

What happens next, and how is that managed?

Does it go back to NATO?

And is that a good thing, and if so, why? Or why not?

Whole lot of mud slinging, and not many results.

shlt man, this isnt supposed to be personal. attack ideas, no people.

make changes, or keep the status quo...

suggest that we take a breath, its amazing that we have any country at
all some times.

Before you come and comment on spelling errors keep in mind that I was
not writing a paper for a grade and dont really give a ****..

One more thing, Doc do not judge a book by its cover, try to go inside
and read the content. It is obvious from a lot of the comments Posted
that this was never done. I apologize that it required actual reading
and not a you-tube video, but hey you have to consider the source. I am
picky about the material I use for a reference and always according to
the education I have, try to gather them from unbiased sources. You can
try to find some of equally non biased sources to support your
arguments, and I will be glad to review the material. My mind is always
open unlike others, there just is never anything in the way of facts
offered, NEVER...

Milton, I understand that you have a very caring and gentle soul, and
maybe I did come off a little strong for that I apologize. I am sorry,
please forgive my bluntness and coldness, but war is hell.

If it were only that easy Jess. Nato bickers about the solution as well.
Member countries are in the region and all have their agendas. It's a
mess. I think the solution is to force the hand of the Iraqi government
to quit their own squabbling, power posturing, and corruption, and take
control of their country so when we pull out there won't be an
implosion. Although I think that that is a pipe dream today it will
remain so as long as they are spinning their wheels and getting nowhere
fast. Not a good sign when their government wants to take a three month
summer break while coalition forces are fighting and dying for them.
Worst case scenario? They are unwilling to take on full responsibility
which results in ending the babysitting and us pulling out.

combative place in iraq, will didnt kill nearly that many people to even

Lets put some perspective on Iraq.

Recently in Iraq, a highly religious country with many sects and
divisions, a young girl was stoned to death for seeing a young man
outside her faith. While this type of 'justice' is also listed in the
bible we do not practice it in this nation because religion is seperate
from the state and the state handles justice.

Do we have the right to interfere in what to us is a hideous method of
justice? Is it our imperative destiny to FORCE our methods upon them?

Will they ever be able to seperate their religious systems from their
governmental systems (obviously we can not - the pope recently declared
any american politician that voted for abortion EXCOMUNICATED).

I do not think it is an easy choice. There isnt one, but some times life
is hard and hard choices must be made. This I think is one of those, Set
a Date (not in concrete) and let it be known to the Iraqi government
that we are serious. Then maybe you will see a George Washington, or a
Thomas Jefferson rise and take charge of leading their own troops in the
fight for their country, but as long as they see we are not going to do
this then they will continue to rely on our men to fight for them, and
never gain respect from their neighbors. Neighbors of people who might
be barbaric and ruthless, but nevertheless recognize the difference in a
strong opponent and a weak opponent. Sort of like a dog can smell fear
in its prey even when that prey is a human. I have said this before, but
either no one listens or they forget.

yes Fanta, war is hell. I don't believe you will ever find a mother that
claims she is happy to have her son/daughter at war. I only ask you
respect my son and me for getting through this as best we can and
praying he comes home along with all the others.

My original thread was not meant to excite political indifferences, but
to honor and acknowledge the brave on the front lines.

amazingly, the area was a one time very properous and some would say
even western thinking. there were movies and freedoms after WWII, then
the clerics, shieks and imans took over, much in the same way that
hitler did to germany, speaking of greatness, and duty, and keeping his
hands clean by having others do the killing, see its much easier to
order someone be killed than it is to actually pull the trigger, talk
about brainwashing troops? how about brainwashing cultures to believe
that they will receive 70 virgins for the glory of muhammed. but lets
not tell that story.

I looked at that site doc, but I didnt think it was legitimate, although
I did get the annual fiqures from there, simply because for some strange
reason the US government has refused to count bodies. I think it goes to
the errors in such numbers reported in Vietnam.
