Did some babysitting tonight and it got me thinking of the shows/music I enjoyed when I was little. Off to download some Fraggle Rock and Raffi right now in fact. What were some of your favorite kiddie shows, artists?

I used to watch some of the Sid and Marty Krofft shows when I was little, including "Sheldon the Sea Monster", "Land of the Lost", "Electrawoman and Dynagirl", and "H.R. Puffenstuff". I also watched my share of the old-school Warner Brothers cartoons, as well.

OMG Fraggle Rock was the bomb! Muppets too. When I got a bit older I was all about Transformers and G.I. Joe though. My FAVORITE movie was The Neverending Story. Wow....Memories, like the corners of my mind....

FRAGGLES ROCK!!!!! I bought my 8 month old son a dvd and he loves them as much as I still do.

I was raised in a poor neighborhood and was more than glad the local programming was so far behind on what shows were "new." I was raised on Mighty Mouse, Hong Kong Phooey, BLACK AND WHITE Looney Toons, The Muppets, Howdy Doody....

Ya know, mabye I should stop before I realize I was a tv junkie when I was a kid....

As far back that I can remember (14 or so)...it was The Simpsons and Haddaway, really, no different than it is today only now I'm into cartoons in general and...well, Haddaway is the sex.

yeah, when I was a kid I had to get up at three in the morning so my Dad could commute. Fortunately we had a day care lady that worked from home and was willing to let me come that early. I'd get there about three thirty and watch the cartoons that ran that early in the morning. Of course old Looney Tunes, but then loads of Hanna Barbera toons. Jonny Quest, Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear, Flinstones, Jetsons... Of course I got to be a kid during the birth of nicktoons too. Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats, Doug, AAH Real Monsters... Good stuff

I was always a Flintstone fan...but yeah ..those Saturday morning cartoons were the best.. We could even eat breakfast in the living room on Saturdays!! I remember Commander Tom, Mighty Mouse, Jetsons, Bugs & Daffy, anyone remember "Zoom" ? My kids get up now and watch the top 10 video countdown on Saturdays. Cartoons are'nt a treat anymore!

I'm French so a couple of them you might not know but we had translation even in those days, so my favorites were "Bobino, Franfreluche was also a big fan of Bugs Bunny, Ultra Man, The Godzilla show and so many more i can't remember" watching them on a black and white TV was a treat to.

I remember waking up every Saturday morning at 630AM and watch Davey and Goliath, and I didn't stop watching TV until noon. My parents never worried I was watching that much TV because they knew I'd be out of the house and outside for the rest of the day until dinner.
