everyone's favorite piece of mail this murnin'. A JURY SUMMONS!! Yep, after 8 yrs of bein a registered voter they finally reached the bottom of the barrell an pulled out my name. I pity the poor fool who's trial I end up sittin in on. It ain't gonna be purty.

I just finished up with jury duty for the District court for the month of June!! Good Luck. Hope that all the cases settle prior to going to trial!! then you don't have to sit on the jury!! |

I have yet to be called. I have had to fill out one of those post card forms... but never got a letter to come in.
 I am sure it will come soon enough! I have been registered for 11 years!

I personally, have no interest in the judicial process...a lot of it is plea bargaining & misdirection...too much room for social prejudice...IMO. But have fun...I can tell you're gonna be a hoot in there!

You know, I have always done that as well. This last time, I still got chosen!! I was surprised!! There is a procedure to it... they can only get rid of a certain number .... only one can be for no reason. The others have to be valid reasons justified by profession, bias or relationship to individuals involved. So, you just might have slipped through the cracks or one side wanted you because of your opinion! |

I really don't care to spend my day listenin to a couple of lawyers posturin. I got a feelin if make it thru the question phase onto the actual jury, I ain't gonna make no friends in the jury room

Nothing makes this Country greater than being able exercise one's right to civic duty... For the People by the People.
Some feel Jury Duty is a burden when they should feel proud that they have an opportunity to serve their community. Just remember to take the time to consider the opinions of others, educated or not, and make sure that your opinions are heard as well. |

They just don't go by voters anymore, I don't vote and I got summoned and did not have to go. At the time I was taking care of my mom who is disabled and could not tend to herself at that time.
