Just because someone is older or family doesn't give them license to use their mouths as a hachet on your feelings.

If they talk to you in such a fashion stop going around. Why be their free maid if they have no respect for you. Family goes both ways.

As far as the cysts I would go to Planned Parenthood and ask for their recommendation and assistance for OBGYN care. I would also ask for a referrral for an endocrinologist to do a comprehensive screening and not the lower level that is usual for physicals. If thyroid problems run in your family and you have accute chronic pain it is good odds that you need care and can have a good outcome with treatment.

Having thyroid problems can make you feel depressed. Really tough when you live it innergenerationally in a family like is common for families with genetic problems like thyroid issues.

Easy, sit both of them down, tell them exactly how their comments make you feel.
That if they have something constructive to say it is more than welcome,

To say that you were thinking about taking the pills says more than I think you intended, That you are not thinking right about this issue, would say to me that you also have other serious issues. Seriously..get help!
look at both sides of the coin.. you know what it is like to be heavy
But if supermodel thin... you would constantly have guys screwing you over. maybe another reason to think messed up.
If you don't like how others see you, do something about it,
Stop making excuses.

The cyst has nothing to do with weight gain and neither does thyroid unless untreated.
Thyroid has become a crutch excuse for every heavy person.{Know a few people will want to bash me for that comment, Because they don't want to give up their crutch and face the truth}
so much so that many fat people say they have thyroid problems when they don't have.

I have had hypothyroid for many years, on 200MCG synthroid.
Do I look heavy?

Unfortunately, some people are just heavy and some aren't.
But even most cases of hereditary weight gain is not in fact hereditary.
What in most(not all) cases is passed along the family is very unhealthy eating habits.

Sorry so blunt, but I call it as I see it.

Want a perfect diet.. Banquet tv dinners.. the dollar ones.
one for lunch and one foe dinner. no snacking in between.
eat these for about a month. to form habit.

Not all all that it is healthy food. but is makes you understand and get use to the portion size. After a month.. eat anything you want..but stick to the portion size.

Just an idea
