If it's like pins and needles and there is pain at times, you should seek medical attention immediately.
I had similar sensations last year and had to go into hospital. It transpired that I had suffered a slipped disc. If this is what is happening to you, surgery may be required. I had surgery and I now have a small metal wedge inserted into one of the vertebrae in my spine. I doubt if it's stroke related as that would involve blinding headaches, dizziness etc |

Sounds like Carpal tunnel to me too.. I had that really bad and had to have surgery..get it checked by a dr and then you will know for sure.. could be anything...

am in a coma or had a stroke yet I would get that checked out, it could be anything, a stroke signs are slurred speech, droopy on one side of the body and yes some numbness. Bit if the numbness happens in the middle, ring and pinky finger and the thumb possible carpel tunnell. I have that in my left hand and I lost feeling in my thumb for a bit. |

Probably just a pinched nerve or lack of blood flow due to inflammation of the carpal tunnel.

some meds can do that. paresthesia. my migraine medicine doesn't do it to me but my friend takes the same stuff and she had it so much she had to switch.
other causes...stress, migraines, b-vitamin deficiency, bumping nerves...lots of other potential reasons. |
