Have you guys seen this one? Pastor Drake, of the first southern baptist church in Calif., does not understand why people of mad at him for praying "imprecatory prayers", which to him is simply agreeing with G-d. He prays these prayers (an imprecatory prayer is praying for the de@th of someone) for many people he states including Dr. Tiller and Barack Obama, among others. He told his flock to spend at least 2% of their prayer time on imprecatory prayers. I never cease to be amazed at the love the Xian Church just exudes.

Christians really need to get some control over their leaders who are trying to control them. We are so used to being led by them, so the apathy is strong, but it's time we pay attention to what they suggest. Of course it probably won't happen cuz folks just aren't much good at questioning so called religious authority. But it sure would be nice to see more of that happen.

Sheesh! I haven't heard the news on that...the pastor shouldn't be a pastor at all...especially if he's telling the congregation to do the same. I'd say...pure evil! Wow!

Apparently, he was also Allan Keyes Vice Presidential candidate during the last election.

Cursing someone in the scriptures is considered witchcraft.. Cursings and blessings out of the same mouth should not be..Shalom...Miles

I find this kind of prayer a rather redundant form of prophacy.

Think about it - when that person does die (and no one escapes it)has a prayer been answered?

And if one prays for anothers salvation, can any living human ever know it worked?

So why not hedge the bet and pray for something inevitable.

Sorry, it may not be ethical to laugh, but some ideas are just begging to be ridiculed.

 And according to what Pastor Drake believes, then if someone does the same thing and prays for Drake's death ,then Pastor Drake will be killedlaugh

A baptist church in a small town in Colorado (not my town) had the congregation pray for a local tavern to burn down and for the death of the owner of the sinful place. He lost a few members who did not agree with that kind of prayer.

I think these preachers actually believe they are battling the Devil. I don't think they are in touch with reality.
