i think the only difference between the USA and Russia is. Russia don't claim to be the good guy.

Allow me to make a cross comparison between our nations from my perspective having evaluated history thoughtfully.

In all reality there was nothing different between us other than language. Americans forget the former Soviet Union and what is now called Russia are still collections of different races much like America is.

Russia had to struggle with Communism that in its own way was a great idea except one thing undid it all, human nature. With Communism came a certain totalitarianism that caused a lot of unrest and eventually Russia cast off the form of Government that had been stagnating your parent's country for years!

Americans revile Stalin but do not understand that to this day Stalin is still a hero figure. He was seen as Strength in the face of German occupation. Hell, in reality he was one tough son of a beatch. He was ruthless though.

The Cold War was also a war of Propoganda. It is hard to beat the opponent with the most money. it could be said Coka-Cola and Levis had a lot to do with the fall of Communism. Unfortunately the Corruption that Plagues Russia is the same that Plagues America. How?

The same people pulling the strings in Russia are likewise using money and influence to pull strings there. They organized with the fall of Soviet Russia and conglomerated forces. America is not doing good at all because like Communism makes promises human nature fouls up.

Our leaders live lavish life styles at the expense of American tax payers. So did and does the Russian Leadership.

Our leadership answers all their financial problems with higher taxes and new ones. from what I understand Russia has its own taxation issues brewing. Socialized anything is expensive and fraught with corruption. Health care in this country is excessively expensive. Insurance is a tremendous drain on our wallets. Fuel companies have our economy by the balls. Banks have been manipulating the economy and illegally act as a government agency as the Federal Treasury. What do you call it when a industry regulates itself with no real oversight?

As a major world power Russia wanted under communism total control of the world but wanted that power through popular support. Russia did like to use military force though.

Likewise there are a lot of cultural differences that are small in comparison to the fact that in all reality Russians and Americans to think a lot alike. it is amazing what you can learn about someone through their entertainment. There is a host of Russian animation on Youtube. it is just pure ignorance on the part of Americans to think Russia is any thing less than us just because of some assumed sense of superiority.

The bottom line is that unfortunately corruption runs deep everywhere. Obama was part of the meltdown of America's economy before he became president and he surrounds himself with people fully responsible for this mess. How do these a@@holes keep getting voted in?

The same way people believed the Communist Party Line! promises and Government Handouts! the only government system that ever really worked was one where people worked! Instead America is plagued by lazy parasites wanting money and food for free while the rest of us have to earn it the hard way.

We do have some freedoms here that are not afforded to Russians but then again something must be going right in Russia because Russia itself does not seem by a bad place to me. You will always have unhappy people there wishing they were here, unhappy people here wishing they were there. The Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

If you really want to see a Depressed country check out Mexico! Most of their able bodied work force is here for some reason!

The Russian justice system is more frightening than ours. their police will beat the crap out of anyone that pisses them off and they don't get in trouble. Then again they also have to deal with Islamic terrorism on their doorstep. I don't blame you for feeling the way you do. I sorely wish I could do something about this mess but I am just one man. What it would take to fix this mess is organization and a lot of people really out to see change happen.

Terrorism is about hate. While some entities may have made it more difficult for this country to counter their slick media campaigns, the bottom line is that regardless of how much we choose to abstain, coddle or admonish, terrorism will always be and attacks are inevitable.
