I think that I'm ready to give up this whole dating thing. It's been really difficult meeting men that can honestly call themselves men on here. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to share.

don't advise you to give up - but if you are not having any luck with your current criteria - adjust them ddn - love the shoes

don't give up. It's just like in real life...people are people no matter what. just hold onto what you are looking for and enjoy getting to know people. keep your chin up and don't be discouraged.

All I have been eating is disappointment lately but that is no reason to just give up. I feel like I am wading through gold diggers and fluffy cottontails looking for a free ride on a man's back. Then again maybe I am a glutton for punishment.

Beth, I know how hard it is to find the right guy. Maybe you just need a break from the dating scene. It wasn't until I stopped focusing on my relationship status that I found the man I was looking for. In fact, when we went on our first date, I had already "given up" on dating and was just looking for friends. You never know what might happen! I would suggest just having fun and being yourself. When the right person comes along, you'll know it. Just keep your eyes and your heart open and you'll be surprised what you may find. Good luck!
