Is it weird that I feel like damaged goods since my mom passed away?

No because you are. You just lost a crucial piece of you. It will take time to adjust. Bravo that you realize your feelings. Now work on them.

It helps if you can talk to family and friends, everyone mourns differantly. I know this ,loosing my mom was the hardest thing I have ever experienced. Two years later and still things don't seem quite right. Sorry about your loss.

Sorry for your loss, and yes that loss will make you feel like a big part of you is missing. As time goes on, that pain will ease a little and you can move on with your life.

I am so sorry for your loss. She will always be with you in your heart. Try to focus on the good memories, not the loss. You can still talk to her and she will hear you. You are not damaged goods, just in a lot of pain right now. Time will make it better, but it will take awhile. Take care.

i understand how you feel. i too lost a parent. to be philosophical, they live on through you.
as for damaged goods, theres a couple of women in my office who clearly are. they bad mouth and get bitter over certain others who are in happy relationships. one of them hasnt had a steady boyfriend, whos not married, for over 2 years. |

So sorry for your loss.. It's hard to go on but you shouldn't feel like damaged goods, just like you've lost a part of you.. I lost my husband and mom with a few short months and thought I was going to shut down completely but here I am.. time helps to heal....

The death of a parent is hard.
I didn't feel right for a long, long time. 9/11 happened the end of my first week back at work after my mother died, I went into the break room to see what the fuss was about. Plane crashed into building, OK, terrorists did it. Yeah, maybe? Did someone you love die this week??? No..???? Then get your butt out here and help me. Sorry for your loss. |

My mom died when I was 33. I felt like I was orphaned. I understand what you are going through.

{{{BearHugs}}} For you
This is a good place to come to if you ever need company. Many folk here will be there for you. Your not damaged, just bruised, and that bruising will fade over time. My heart and understanding go out to you, for what you are going through. |

Hugs for you, we can' replace your mom, but I believe that for the most part you will find people here who will be there for you to vent to, give a listening ear, maybe even a little advice if you need it, and request it.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your Mother. I lost mine Valentines Day 2006. It's hard. But you are not damaged goods. Your heart is broken.
