Don't desire to attempt the "real" Colorado River but Austin's will come
up soon, want to take it to the Gulf. Been endurance kayaking every
weekend the past 5, several rapids in that precip levels have been
elevated. My cousin is a semi-pro river guide down Tennessee's Ocoee
River, in July I'll be there--that'll be dangerous. This Tuesday I'm
leaving for two weeks in Washington state to get some outdoorsy
practice, some river, hiking, climbing. Would climb Rainier or a smaller
peak but it's remaining cold in the Pac NW and the permit to Rainier's
climb above 10k ft is $30 in addition to costly minimal equipment.
Climbed a couple Colorado 14,000 peaks, but Rainier and Hood are more
involved.

Watch out for the double hydraulics on the Yough. My uncle went through
that and it threw every body but him out of the boat. It's when you hit
2 big holes ..one right after the other and it flips the back of the
raft over top of the front. It's like a catpault machine.

I'll take adventure for $200 alex...
