I am sitting here in tears listening to the news. A 12 year old boy killed his five week old cousin. All they will say is that it was blunt force used on the baby. They were left in the car together while the baby's mother went into a Target. This has me sick a family destroyed because of an action. They did state that the child will be tried as a juvenile since he is 12, if he would of been 13 he would of been tried as an adult.

Way too much bad stuff going on now. At 12 I was still playing with my doll babies, and had no idea on how to hurt a person.

Me too. The world and our youth are out of control. The HRS people are behind all of our problems by not allowing us to discipline our children the way we were disciplined. Today's youth all need a good old fashioned spanking.

Thank you yellowrose.

I am just heartsick that such a thing happened. The entire family will be destroyed because of this event.

Try the mother. easy one here. She left them alone in a parking lot, they could have been taken by a stranger. What? She didn't want to buy them anything, but couldn't say no. So leave them in a car. The 12 year old will pay for the rest of his undeveloped life because of an accident. jmo

when i was 12 i got stabbed in the leg....and i still won the fight. fun times.

it's too bad he won't be tried as an adult. i used to watch my little sister after school and stuff when i was that age and no matter how annoying and bratty she got i never hurt her. that kid is definitley old enough to know better, especially with a baby. ladies and gentlemen, our next serial killer.

You know its strange, I was watching a thing on how a woman went to prison as well as her husband because their pitbull dog ate her child up, and killed him while they were upstairs.

Now noone had any indication that this child was violent, or had tendencies, or any mental disorder, or issues?

Why were these children left together?

I wonder if they will hold the mother responsible for the same kind of neglect.???

Haven't seen or heard this awful news, but it breaks my heart for both families involved. Just devastating, the terrible heartbreak they will all have to live with for the rest of their lives.

This imo is a case where more rehabilitation, and less punishment are nessasary, AND what kinds of examples had this child been given?

Is there a possibility of this being a case where the tv and video games were the child's babysitter, and the child learned through this that violence is the norm?

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old mother is facing cruelty to children charges.

Officials did not clarify why the boy was with relatives in Georgia or how long he was staying there.

Omg! What is happening to our world today. Kids killing kids or their parents... I just can't seemed to understand it.

sorry to hear this happened

what is silly is that a thirteen year old could be tried as an adult

if at thirteen they are tried as an adult and found not guilty they should get the rights of an adult

they should not be tried as an adult they should change the rules for punishment of juveniles

the type of crime does not make them adults
